One of the most important things online is the ability to have others', especially the people who are going to be buying from you, to perceive you as an expert.

So what is an expert$%: I think of an expert as someone who knows a lot about something - and in your case, you may or may not know a lot about your online area of expertise.

So the first step is to get the knowledge, literally become an expert. But another thing to keep in mind is that even if you are an expert, if others do not know it, then your expert status is not important. So whether you are an expert or not, you can be perceived as one if people think that you know a lot about your area of expertise online.

One of the ways to do this is to write articles. Let me ask you this, if someone is researching you and trying to determine if you are an expert, and they see that you have 1 article published online, will that help you out at all$%: But what if you have written 600 articles (as I have) and they are posted on many web sites each and you have a total of 12,600 web pages that feature your name and most of them your article (as I do), then will people be more inclined to think of you as an expert$%: I think so. I think that there is an incredible amount of credibility that occurs when your name is in print, especially when it is in print in multiple locations online.
